I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
